EXTRACT TEXT FROM IMAGE

Friends now i am going to describe a simple process to extract the text from any image(jpg,png).There are several softwares to do the job but most of them can not finish the work perfectly.There remains 50-60% wrong extraction but today i am telling about an open source software(Online accessed) by Google Docs which can work out the job very perfectly(remains 5%wrong extraction).It is developed by Google and launched on 27-Sep-2009 .If you have a google account then its a 10-12 minute job. "Google Docs" launched this open source application as "OCR"(Optical Character Recognize).It scans your Image file and extract its text into an editable text format.Follow the steps below and proceed.........

1.First Click on the link to go to "Google Docs" .

2.You will get an another window where is an option "Sign in to Google Docs".Click on it.


3.Now you must see that you have to sign in with your google account so don't waste time and sign in.

4.In this step you will be asked for granting permission.Hit the "Grant access" button.


5.Thus you will get the uploading page so browse the picture in which the text exists and click on "Start OCR Import".It will start the uploading and converting processes automatically.


After 10-12 second you will get your required extracted text.Save it to your hard drive.
